Susie’s grandson spent a period on the RSS David Attenborough.
It was during his time when he was training to become a Merchant Navy Officer.
Whilst onboard the ship, he did a trip to the Antarctic.
As a result of his connection, and after much security clearance, Susie and I were given a conducted tour of the ship, when it was moored at Harwich.
Fascinating, but much of it classified!
