Agree 100% - I particularly can't stand all the bells, whistles and so-called driver aids that constantly intrude.
I'd go so far as to say that it's putting me off buying a new car and I'll probably stick with an older model for as long as it's practical. I actually traded my nearly new car for my current older Lexus partially for those reasons.
Our current daily hack is a small Lexus, the chief Tech at our local dealer is a really helpful lad and has turned off most of the pings that we don't need
permanently with his advanced access rights...top lad
