Mike I have been working with him just before Christmas then the last 2 weeks trying to design my own dash board I think I have drove him insane . I first sent a template plan drawn from an original dash . I had designed it with extra dials etc . But its like a kid in a sweet shop I kept changing it . Nothing wrong with the Burr Walnut one I have its stunning but I did not design it ( May be up for sale soon ) Still I need to get my act together and stick to one thing . But I am spoilt for what to pick from .
My winter project has been changing the dash (inc new glasses, bezels & switches) on my 1978 4/4 to a mahogony one supplied by Matthias Kauffelt (who has been brilliant). The new dash has toggle switches instead of rockers with the exception of the hazard switch & Manfred supplied a small bracket to mount the hazards behind the dash. Unfortunately, the only place I can position it now catches my knee when I use the clutch.
Rather than shortening my left leg a few inches, I want to use a spare toggle switch on the dash for the hazards. Mattias says to do this I need to add another relay - has anyone done this & any advice on the wiring needed.
The 4/4 already has 2 relays for the indicators & hazards.
