My single fittings broke due to an error in lifting the rear of the hood without releasing them first.A daft mistake.
Since then I got into a routine.....
Release both studs. Pop the hood rear. Do what I needed then reverse the routine. Refit the hood rear. Replace the stud fastenings.
As for ripping out the two screw version, you'd need to use a fair bit of force. The screws I used were stainless so stronger than the brass original studs. I think 13mm long and a pilot hole drilled before fitting. There are twice the number so loads shared a bit more than the originals. I added gaskets as well, made from clear packaging cut to size. Hopefully to prevent the edges digging into the paint. Might replace with thin rubber though
THE secret is the sequence. Studs first/ last.
