Sorry, I have reproduced it incorrectly. Unfortunately, I now have not found any more precise figures than on these two pages below. According to them, the Ford Duratec 3.0 “fully dressed” (whatever that means) weighs 360 pounds and the Rover V8 between 317 and 375 pounds (“dry weight”) during its lifetime, although I don't know whether with or without add-on parts such as the alternator etc.. I could not find out what the weight of both engines is in real life. But I would agree with you, Simon, that the Ford is lighter after all.
