Spot on, imho, and could be said for many similar developments of cars. At the risk of thread drift, in my younger years I used to convince myself that the small incremental gains that manufacturers made, as they evolved (marketed) individual model lines, made a big difference to the way the car drove. Now I look back and think that the wiser money would have been spent on driver tuition rather than upgrading to the latest model.
