I saw these on a Morgan at the Silverstone Classic last summer and was ideal. They are a protected stainless steel cable with a good lock for securing your surf boards to your VW Camper!!

I purchased a pair of 2.5m version that is ample for a large Samsonite case (I really wanted the Rimowa Aluminium case but they are expensive!), may have to hunt other sites for these now.

Now that really does look like a good solution.

We have friends that discovered items had been stolen from their car on a ferry trip. Unfortunately they did not realise what had happened until they got home.

Another dangerous point for thefts is at the roadside dinners. You don't feel like dragging all your luggage inside just to have a coffee but thieves often hang around the car parks just waiting for an opportunity to steel something, particularly during the holiday periods when people are travelling with luggage.

Beware of using the button on your key at these places as they can read the wireless signal and duplicate it to unlock the car. Always use the key to lock your car manually. Naturally none of the previous two sentences apply to a trad Morgan.
