The ugliest IMO was bolting more plexiglass to windscreens by drilling through the originals, the old bases were brush painted silver with some clear silicone too = new windscreen bases have been made and I’m very close to getting new screens back from the plastic drape molder (expensive and taking forever) ...

Many thanks for the detail. Ouch on some of these (esp the harness!). I can see the rationale for his screen mods if touring - the M3W factory / Fairbourne screens still leave a gap for your elbow to get cold. Then again, "whatever works" and if the original owner got some extra life fulfillment in his final years, good for him! Good luck with the restoration and sale. Would be great if this was bought in the UK to add even more diversity to the 3 wheeler community here [aka please let us know when its for sale!!!]
