You can set the DDG search engine as the default in Chrome. It is sometimes interesting when really different search results appear than with the google search. DuckDuckGo also offers a browser, it is very good and completely free of adverts. But I have realised that I am lazy and lack the comfort e.g. spontaneous translation of a whole website is not possible. That's why I'm back to Chrome.
