Well you don't mention disabling the airbag on the wheel in advance which is definitely one to watch for! (just teasing)
My S2 has self-cancelling as well as the screech/bleep if left on.
Alistair, 5th line down in caps... DANGER...etc. Though I do admit to making many a mistake...(-:
