CLPlusFour recently asked me whether it was possible to add Morgan-specific information to a members profile.
Although many people use the signature for this, Clemens's question did make me ponder whether there was a way to achieve the result he reasoned would be a worthy addition to the site information; therefore, I spent some time trying to deduce if there was a way to allow for custom information to be displayed in each users profile. After some false starts, I have found a way to allow the additional info.
This information is not mandatory and each member can decide whether they would like to add it, or not; however, should you wish to, you can now add: your Morgan model, year, colour and previous Morgans owned, to your profile.
To do this, you need to be logged into the site and follow these steps:
Click on your name at the top right of the site > from the drop down menu, choose Edit Profile > Scroll down the page and in the section Forum Profile you will now see four new boxes (My Morgan, Year, Colour & Previous, fill as many (or as few, or none!) ad you'd like. When done, scroll down to the bottom of the profile page and Click SAVE Changes
Moving forward from today, new members will be asked this when they register; however, like the current settings, it is optional and not mandatory.
Clemens did ask if there was a way to add this information to the user profile beside each post made on the forum but the standard software does not allow this and, if it is possible, it would require bespoke coding.
