Correct - you don't need to fit the full PB modification anymore. In fact I think PB doesn't sell them anymore for third party installation - he will only fit his Centa upgrade himself.
If you go the 'rotor modification' route then you do not need to 'break' the crankshaft to Centa connection which is the point where a few further issues have arisen where a complete PB kit has been installed.
