Thanks again Doug. Yes the fact that Roadster 3.7 with MT82 gearbox is unique was the point I was making. As you suggest it looks as though outer part of knob itself unscrews from inner. I guess I need to find a way of holding recessed same in vice whilst I grip outer part of knob. Once separated the finessing to have shift pattern correctly orientated will be easy. Can I assume it's a right hand thread as well
