Hi, im new at Talk Morgan. Well quite new, im registered since 16th of Mai, 2024. But did so far not use the forum/had other "projects". But this other projects are solved/finished and im happy to read and hear from other morgan enthusiasts. The year has still arrived in the middle and i want to introduce myself. Like you could imagine, i was driving my moggie all spring and summer long this season. No "srceentime" avaiable

, but that means also the Moggie got his rides and feels healthy

So, where should I begin? Well, I was born in 1985. I grew up in a small valley called Tösstal, in a village near Winterthur, which is, after all, next to Zurich. You may have heard of... chocolate, the Swiss financial center, two rivers and a lake, ohh, and yes, a little further south there are mountains; we call them the Swiss Alps.
Early in my childhood i got enthusiastic for cars. Mhmm may i should say, since my brain started spinning and rattling, with occasional glitches, it ran more and more smoothly. The smoother it got, the more cars i saw and startet suffering for them. I owned some of them, only one or two, may twenty...

There were some truly fantastic vehicles among them, the oldest being from 1976. On the other hand, there were fresh, modern ones like the current daily from 2024. But one thing, and this became clear pretty quickly, still annoyed me about every one of my acquisitions. They all soon began to bore me. But... finally, my tireless search came to an end in the fall of 2015. A local car show here in Zurich, in October 2015, changed everything. A dealer of a brand completely unknown to me, was able to hook me with his, let's say, somewhat "different" product. After sitting in the exhibited car it was clear: test drive! In November 2015, the time had come: a polished Morgan Plus 4 (Daniel may honor him, perhaps he's also on this forum) was waiting for me in the Swiss Jura. We had fun for four whole days. It was clear that I was drawn to this car... That year ended happily and blissfully.
In 2016, the 4/4 80th Anniversary model was released. The dealer was quickly contacted for a reservation, but it didn't work out. Only two vehicles were supposed to find their way to Switzerland. But not to me, not yet... Of course, I was disappointed, but I didn't give up hope. Especially since the Trad Morgans, were still available to order at that time and I was sure, I would get my hands on a Morgan. But I didn't go looking for one for the time being... life went on.
Time passed until we arrived in August 2020. I still remember saying to my sweetheart, rather unmotivated, "Could we just check the internet again to see if a similar 4/4 is on sale?" I didn't wait for a reply, not for long...there it was in front of me: Saxe blue, a 4/4 80th Anniversary with genuine 1500km on the clock, delivered in Switzerland, the "one" the dealer had mentioned in 2016, but I had missed.
Then everything happened very quickly...and there I was at the foot of the Mutschellen (a very small pass), driving this gorgeous, like-new 4/4 home. Happy ending! And tell you what , the Moggie still not bores me at all
