My stainless pins were badly worn in under 10,000 miles. There were four dealer stamps when I bought it and approx 5,000 miles recorded. I think part of the problem is the unscientific way the bushes are reamered (or is it reamed). Every stub axle will be slightly different, so clearances will vary. Someone had fitted upper grease nipples to mine without checking if the pins were drilled. They were not. So all in all that was not impressive.
I now have hard chrome.
