To my knowledge the S1 was never released in LHD so you are on an uphill struggle?
S1 specific stuff like the half dashboard is unlikely to exist as a result.
Packaging in the engine bay is going to make it a bit more than fun.
S2 was built for the US market and so in LHD configuration, but very low numbers. It also had the Beetle squint but a fatter boot lid.
You would stand a lot more chance going for a US Series 2 LHD if it is LHD you need?
I think we are talking less than 10 LHD series models that escaped over there?
All very sensible advice.
If they buyer is seriously interested, they'd be more sensible to keep it as is, unless they live in Quebec or PEI, which prohibit the use of RHD cars on public roads.
