I watched it all live when I was 10 years old. My dad let me stay up all night with him, and I'll never forget it. In addition to all the technology-related films and documentaries, this movie really moved me when I saw it in the theater shortly before the COVID lockdown. The focus here is not on technology, but on the life of Neil Armstrong, played by Ryan Gosling. But there is one technical aspect. The film begins in the Gemini era, when Armstrong had already been to space once. In these sequences, the film captures very vividly in sound and image that the astronauts were really traveling in tin cans. You get a feeling of trepidation and a little fear when they are in their capsule.
Fortunately, they didn't know or have more than they had. Otherwise, they might not have dared to do it. It only became clear later that the astronauts were incredibly lucky because cosmic radiation, or at least solar radiation, could have fried them in a less favorable situation.
