Interesting, I found my 70th 4/4 was tighter at shoulder height,always rubbing with my passenger, the Roadster 4 seater felt wider at shoulder height and no rubbing, same with the Plus 4 Sport no shoulder rubbing.......maybe the gearbox width changes your seating/posture orientation from car to car. Certainly the Roadster 4 seater the drivers seat was more upright and higher which created less of a problem for us. The CX is just in another league, although the thicker door and side screen panels do initially make the interior feel a little more cramped, but actually is far more comfortable over longer journeys, the comfort seats certainly help there and there is more room at shoulder height with your passenger..
