Mark Baldwin from the factory phoned me this morning he apologised for not getting back to me sooner, Mark confirmed that Morgan will not be issuing a recall notice even though BMW and Toyota have I guess because of the low number of Plus Sixes that would be affected they don't need too.
Mark told me mine is only the second Plus Six he knows with this problem.
My car is well out of warranty so he suggested I contacted my local dealer, I said its a BMW part and I will get the part from there Mark ended the call abruptly. Looks like I should be paying the Morgan tax for BMW parts.
If your Plus Six becomes difficult to start hot you will need to replace the starter motor, a small number of BMWs have caught fire due to the contacts in the starter motor fusing together and shorting out even when parked, so disconnect the battery when garaged.
