Well, it seems it is still in Australia but the story is stranger...
My memory did serve me well, it was originally sold to Chris Vermeulen,
who won the World Supersport Championship in 2003 among other successes.
In 2014, he sold the car to a fellow Australian, Philip Allen, for £143,000, who plans to be
buried in it using it as a
coffin! 
The thought of an Aeromax being driven on roads at night, for eternity, in spectral form, makes me smile. Hats off to Mr Allen; whilst I hope he doesn't require the use of his Morgan coffin for some time, I commend his style!
