My first car was a 59 Frogeye Sprite, which was a rot box which took perhaps a year or more to nail back together in barely MOT passable condition.... Great first car, it taught me so much, the only downside for me was the quarter elliptic rear springs putting so much stress into the monocoque. Following Sprites/Midgets seem to me a bit like cockroaches, as they will likely be around when all the machines that depend upon electronics, digital or otherwise, are no longer operational for any of the all to many reasons they fail...?
There is no doubting the convenience of the Tesla as a transportation device.... BUT..? (-:
