I did, then removed it after a season of use. While I generally prefer short, quick shifters and have fitted them in other cars, I decided to mod the original to take a longer shift lever and now have a longer throw/more sedate change which to me fits the vintage vibe of the machine. There were no issues with short shifter, just personal preference.
