So the MogRod's slowly moving along, and I'm using this project downtime to start looking into various components for when the car (eventually) starts coming together.
One thing that's come up on the list is a small item, but something of a 'which way to go' issue. A number of the aftermarket steering column setups I can choose from have an on-column turn signal lever which is self-cancelling.
Now, the final goal with the project is to both have the car as convenient as possible (I'd like it to be good enough to be a daily driver), but also to maintain as much of the classic appearance as possible. This leaves me at an odd impass on things such as the signals. I absolutely hate on our '68 Ford Bronco how we can't get the on-column lever to self-cancel, but what with California traffic being like it is, I question the safety of not being able to quickly adjust my signal with my non-shifter hand.
I'd like to lean towards a on-dash setup, but wonder what other Morgan owners have to say about such a swap, and what your general experience has been with the 'classic' setup?
Also, on a slightly related note, what's a good price range to expect to see for the small 'bullet' style front fender signal indicators? I've seen it all over the board both in dollars and pounds.
