Should be able to buy a replacement reservoir, they tend to be a push fit. Yes that has certainly melted, Morgan are damned good at locating these where they suffer het damage! looking at the location, I think like Richard said there should be a heat shield there. I'd give Morgan a call and ask for the service workshop as they should be able to give you the answer. I'd not suggest expecting to ask for a replacement as firstly they probably don't have one and if they did it would cost a small fortune

I'm a fan of using old kitchen appliance metalwork to make any shields that I need. I particularly like deep fat fryers as they are all stainless and very tough, often with beautiful curved edges that I can incorporate into the finished article! I make most cuts with an angle grinder and ultra thin cutting discs.
