The 2014 Ferrari Califoria 30 production was starting to benefit from improving quality control, this vartiant the 30 dropped 30 kgs in weight and gained 30 bhp over the standard California taking it upto 490,bhp, Still of that era that suffered although slightly less from the sticky buttons,, they had cured the earlier engine issues and the gearbox software problems.......it's the folding roof mechanism which may run out of alignment whch is £15k to fix and the leather shrinking and bubbling when left in the open, plus sump and power steering gaskets leaking on low mileage cars over time to watch out for, But other than that they generally seem to be quite reliable and useable by Ferrari standards. This one has been a bit of a garage queen only 2000 miles in last 9 years..........need to see how in drives, as the gearbox has a reputation for not being smooth in traffic..
They are a pretty car, I can just get it in the garage with the mirrors folded, so it's tight and don't want to forget and smack them as that would be an expensive lesson. so lets see what the drive and specialist inspection/assessment shows up.The later turbo's are quicker and better handling less of a grand tourer ........but I'm not looking for a track day car.
