I recall this being a common event with CX cars, one owner arriving at an event in rainy weather with just one left and working, fortunately in front of driver. He'd recovered one and lost the other. I believe this was down to the wiper arms where they engage with splined shaft having too thinner outer walls so they distorted as tightened down to the point they became too loose to stay in place. I would have thought this seemingly common problem would have been resolved by now assuming this is not a new issue.
