The switch to 97 octane from 95 worked on my 2002 Plus8.
My Autel Maxiscan is old and Autel stopped doing updates for it. It was excellent for the Plus8. The live running option was good for identifying which O2 sensor was faulty. Voltage for each was shown and the faulty one had wildly fluctuating voltage whilst the 3 good ones were steady, consistent.
It was handy for other checks too. I did runs to measure the temperature of IAT ( incoming air temp) to help trying to reduce under bonnet temperature and get cooler air through the filter. Also coolant temperature with airflow improvement attempts.
It was just a fault reader that could also cancel faults and no map adjustment like the bespoke ones. A very useful tool.
