I am sure it doesn’t apply to anyone on here but power steering has generally made many drivers “lazy”.
We all should know that when manoeuvring slowly, that the wheels need to be always on the move whilst the steering wheel is being turned, to prevent a severe scrubbing action between tyre and road surface.
A friend of mine was once an-after sales rep for a building company and had many calls for “defective” driveways, where it soon became obvious that it was the owner going from lock to lock in the same spot without moving. I still cringe when see it happening every day in supermarket car parks.
