I'm afraid that's what's already happened in Africa guys, the Defender has been too expensive and too unreliable for too long. It seems that Toyota rules in the rest of the world, LR vehicles are regarded as urban tools and this Defender replacement confirms that this is the market that they are targeting too. smile

I spent a big chunk of 1979 to 1988 travelling the Far East and Pacific for LR. Even then the Japanese were wiping LR out of those markets. Two things; price and reliability. But Range Rovers sold on status. . .things don't change.
