I fit my tonneau whenever the hood is stowed; either to cover the space behind the front seats (when with the lovely Lady Budster), or as a half tonneau when driving alone. The tonneau can then be used to cover up the seats when parked. This works either with or without the sidescreens in place.
You do need to spend a bit of time ensuring the seatbelts are not snagged either by the tonneau or any luggage being carried.
