Ford have indicated their intention to replace the "staple" 1.6 Sigma engine with the new 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbo as the volume engine in their range. Does this mean that the next entry level Morgan will have 3 cylinders, allowing Morgan to say that they could be the only manufacturer with 2,3,4,6 and 8 cylinder cars in their range?

Jeremy Clarkson's review of the Ford Focus fitted with the 1 litre 3 cylinder ecoboost motor in this weekend's Sunday Times had him raving about what a brilliant engine it is. 125 horses, loads of torque & very light weight; It sounds perfect for fitting in a Morgan Trad. As suggested earlier in this thread, roll on the 3/4 (or the 4/3).
