What Shiremog is saying is right on the money. Also, having a hood cover is grand if you will spend a lot of time in the sun and hood down. With a stop to put the hood up, then there's hood-cover storage and all that goes with limited space motoring. I find I don't use the cover at all now. Used it twice through inexperience and novelty. I think it looks good when I take the time to arrange it properly but it's still a pain. Someone in a post on here a while back mentioned that the Morgan Classic is a Roadster in the true sense ie. an open-top car. This is very true and I wouldn't detract from that sentiment. Obviously folks have gone to great lenghts to manufacture any number of hood varients so that our cars are more usable and practical. Once again we're back to what suits us best. If you possibly can - go to a dealership or visit a friend with a car and ask if you can have a go at erecting the hood. If you're lucky you'll know folks with different types. Once you get to grips with that, then maybe imagine you're caught in a heavy downpour on a windy day at the side of the M6 with one arm tied behind your back and ....
Joking aside - you get the idea. Like most things 'Morgan', if you can possibly try it first, then it really helps with the decision process.
