Yes, you are quite right, I am being unfair. Interior trim is not a reflection on the car or company. I guess I have just seen too many lairy examples and am being unfairly swayed by this. As you know I love the F40 but at the same time do not like the way Ferrari go about their business. Do you view a car in isolation or as a whole? When spending that much money do you do it just on the mechanicals or on ethos and everything that goes with it?
Not a dilemma I will ever find myself having but it is interesting.
As an aside, I hate it when people refer to 'buying into' something. Just because you happen to find something that floats your boat shouldn't suggest some kind of financial motive or being swayed to part with your money
