I suspect this could be a wiring fault in the body of the wiper motor, it could be coinsidence, but my guess is when you have twisted the arms you have put pressure on the mechanism inside the body, the wiring runs into the main body of the park switch, so it is possible you have
A disturbed the Park Switch
and
B disturbed the + feed giving a permanent feed, as it was mentioned earlier in the thread it may be wise to disconnect the wiring on the W/Motor and try a seperate supply from a battery see what reaction you get.
