I have already stated on here that I was disappointed with the weight of the car, 525kgs is just too heavy for such a small car, not only would it be cheaper to buy VED, but more important it would drive even better - note the even. It is fun but lack of weight is really important in a small car, Chapman identified it all those years ago, but very few manufacturers have taken it onboard since it seems. It is a small comment, but worth noting nonetheless, that all Caterham bolts are exactly the right length for the fitment, whilst Morgan bolts are a little too long, maybe this gives an indication of the mindset Caterham are in to get their cars to weigh 525kgs, the same as the M3W. I understand that Morgan are working on getting the weight down to at least a motorcycle class VED, 425kgs I believe, hence my comment about the Mk 2 [Steve] car.

My M3W sits in my garage right alongside a Caterham CSR 260, so it is interesting to directly compare the two cars for quality of finish etc, and I would agree that the two are broadly comparable, especially if a few more bolts are being made from rustfree materials. The interior of the Morgan is of course , much nicer, being all leather.
