Re: the exhaust, it seems to me that the silencing is done by way of baffles inserted into the pipe, rather than straight through 'silencers' which use perforated pipe wrapped in a sound muffling 'wool', so if this is the case, surely the back pressure is higher than intended and removing these obstructions would induce more bhp, [allied with a slight change to the inlet side of things], although this might change the wonderful sound produced of course?
