Hi

I own a Morgan +8 from 1990 with 3.9 l injection non-cat engine.
It started after driving the car have no
idle when I stopped for a traffic lights.
Now I have some idle but it runs perfect the first few minutes.
However, after a few minutes when the engine temperature rises the
Idle speed start oscillates between 100-900 rpm.
When press the gas-pedal engine runs smoothly,
but as soon as I release the foot from gas-pedal
it starts to twitch when I drive the car.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Could it be the air flow meter, or an injector that is malfunctioning?

I wonder if anyone have suffered the same affliction and can help me find a solution.

I left the car to a Rover-specialist in Stockholm who could not find anything wrong,
but requested me at 50 pounds. Some specialist...

More than grateful for answer/help.

Hi Michael,

I assume that yours must have been one of the first of the Hotwires. The stepper motor is normally the first port of call.

Have a look here and here
