Absolutely. especially when Im faced with cryptic comments. What am I supposed to say: " No major German town has chewing gum on the pavements, their shops don't try to invade your Sundays and they have a single celebration of St Nicolas Eve which then means they don't all get p*ssed up for three weeks over the end of Dec and early Jan puking on the pavements and getting blasted- which does of course, mean their economy isn't on stop"
As I said, just a dim Welshman ( who spent two years working in Osnabruck incuding visits to that well known tourist haunt which those of you with a military background will know fondly as F-ing B) It also gave me the chance to buy more than a few German cars- inc porkers which do remain one of my great loves) but I suppose when stacked up against Olympic medals, that don't count for much. But Rule Britannia I say! joy

Dave

Hi Dave, from my reading of this informative Forum and Cerealsurfer's excellent Buying Guide, it does not look as if I have experienced many more problems than any other randomly sampled Aero owner. In fact, any prospective owner should read this forum carefully to get a fair estimate of what to expect. It is genuinely informative, for the pros and cons.

Over my two years of ownership, I became irritated by "Morgan engineering standards" when I should have developed a foregiving relationship with the car--and the company that built it, and those who service it. wink wink wink

I am not the right sort of owner for an Aero 8. This much is clear to me!

You know ----- and here's the philosophical bit owning a Morgan is like life it's self. "just when you think everything is in order it goes T-ts up".

And for me owning an Aero keeps me grounded with reality. Take nothing for granted and enjoy each day as it comes. That way nothing much will come as a shock

OK Ill get off it now soapbox
