"Perth Now" the website for the local rag had a headline today that Borat (or rather Kazakhstan) had three golds to the UK's none (at the time) and how the lcoals were restless. Photoshop work was humourous....
Good Aussie reporting....just like the headline that amused me when Austalian won gold at the Hockey at the Indian Commenwealth Games "15 Aussies beat a billion Indians". Umm yes.

We have a written response from Morgan! On the issue of the brakes on my new 2011 4/4 as per the photo, and I quote. “All that happened was that the anti-squeal shim pad shim came away. This has nothing to do with the efficiency of the brakes. This sometimes happens because of the design of the front brake system, where the pads are designed to ‘float’ when the brakes are not applied and this can allow the shim to move, occasionally out of position. As things stand, Morgan Cars Australia supplied you with a brand new set of front brake pads, which were fitted free of charge by our service dealer in Sydney”But wait, there’s more “We were not required to do this from advice received from the Morgan factory, but we did so as a goodwill gesture at our cost alone, knowing that you appear to be a very nervous customer, who is abnormally fastidious about the slighted thing.” Nervous – Don’t you just hate how faulty suspension and doggy brakes make you feel like that... Fastidious – you bet, but by the time I’m finished I will have the best 4/4 in the known universe – I'm almost there but my God what a battle it has been... On the issue of the GOMOG article http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/brakehistory.html#PROPORTIONING – See the section on Brakes Post – 2088 updated July 2012 , Morgans response is “We have also been advised that if (you) have an issue with the pad slightly over hanging the disc material then it is suggested that you do exactly what the article states and chamfer the leading and trailing edges”. (I think they have got confused and mean the “top” edge, they acknowledge the article is valid – just fix it yourself) “This is a very simple matter. I often found that the best way to fix the brakes from squealing was to take the car for a good fast drive on the twisty road.”Yea, that’s the way, get on the gas in the corners, it'l fix those pesky brakes – so long as nothing falls out! So there we have it, a master class on brake issues from the the ‘Rest of the World’ Morgan Dealer of the Year Award for 2011. And finally, Morgan confirm “This is not a brake malfunction issue”Such a relief, for a moment I thought I may have had a problem....!
