.........But seriously......... Don't recall we were ever overtaken, if that is troubling anyone. keep posting, I expect the reason my CVH only gives 30 mph is because I enjoy the sound of the straight-through exhaust too much

This is slightly approx. but this weekend I used a tank of fuel, 45 litres (9.9 gallons) and covered 450 miles. So this makes it about 45mpg, may have been slightly lower but still respectable (this is a 1.6 kent engine).
Not bad.....

Hi NorthernMogman, I'm jealous, I'd be happy with 25mpg out of my Plus8 let alone 52! Mind you I wouldn't change it and as it's not my daily driver I'm happy to live with that

Hehe, last year, towards the end of a LeJog run, we visited RPM in Perth. Russel said he'd be very happy to hear the first person to report less than 25mpg from a 4/4 Sport he reckoned all these people doing better than 50mpg weren't ' ing' hard enough For me - with '76 X-flow I get anywhere between very low 20's on track (and that's part of a tank on the road to get to/from an event, it's probably below 18 actually on track) and high 30's (38 once) on a very gentle drive (doesn't happen often). Normally it's around 32/33 mpg. My '98 +4 when I had it, worst 34, best 43 - which was a mainly motorway blatt up to Curborough, keeping 3,000 rpm on the clock wherever the speedlimit was not less than 70mph... Good thread NM...

Anyone good in maths? My Roadster 2004 consume 0,95 liter per 10 kilometers. Do not know how much it is in miles per gallon. Ken in Sweden But also like the sound of the Librands Sport System when using the right foot.

Bringing the Plus 4 home from Malvern I felt the fuel economy was quite good (considering my sometimes enthusiastic driving) and for the trip we averaged just under 13 km per litre or 7.75 litres per 100 km, or in imperial measure, just under 36 miles per gallon. Not bad for a car running in and not yet having had it’s first service and tune. The result was average over a complete mix of roads and conditions (except rain), top down, top up,country an city roads, and also a good deal of dual carriageway at about 120 km/h.

10 divide 0.95 x 1 = 10.52
10.52 x 4.546 = 47.8 mpg

29.73562526 mpg. 10km is 6.214 miles 0.95l is 0.208974923 imperial gallons Years ago I made up a spreadsheet to do all the basic metric/imperial (and some US) measurements. At the bottom, I must be sad , I also added a calculation for mpg, which calculates directly from litres ('cos that's what the measure is on our fuel stations now...). Cheers,
