Hi,
I have an early 2002 1.8 Zetec 4/4. Does anyone know where the connector is for a fault code reader and what reader is required please. I haven't got a problem at the moment but best to be prepared.

It should be under the dash around the centre of the car....it's a large connector socket so should be easy to see. I know my cars somewhat more recent and the 1.6 Sigma but I've had to use it several times! At least I think I've identified my problem at last!

Mine is a 2004 model and I needed the connector in order to have the keys reprogrammed!
Pull down the rubber flaps that hide all the wiring loom - behind the dash and above the scuttle bar. The ODB connector will be wrapped up in foam or perhaps a plastic bag or bubblewrap, and tucked up inside the mess of wiring - somewhere in the middle - or in my case behind the glove box. It looks a bit like SCART connector for a television. It is the standard FORD ODB-II connector, and most garages can just connect to it, or you can buy a suitable ODB reader, either standalone or a PC interface, on Ebay.

Graham I think it is the same problem that I have which is typical of sports exhaust systems. See Jay's post: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php...light#Post99930 In my case Aero Racing have sent a manifold wrap kit because they believe the cat is not getting hot enough and therefore not working correctly. I will report if this is successful next month after the work has been done.

Thank goodness I don't have to do it, it will bedone under warranty. Part of the joys of being the first to have one fitted to a Plus 4. It is pretty much the same as the system fitted to the Plus 4 SS

Peter...I have found out the problem with my car...the heater circuit of the lambda has failed. I'm just waiting for a new one to arrive in the post......not from Morgan...I gave up trying to get through to their parts department on the phone!
I don't understand Morgan thinking re the cat not getting up to temperature unless you have both pre and post cat sensors fitted. My Librands system only has the pre cat one fitted, so Cat heat is not an issue.
