I have wanted Triking for many years. I still have the brochures and other info that Tony Divey sent me back in the 80s. If only I could be sure of getting it registered in Italy

The triking has always seemed a bit off in design to me personally, the engine seems to large and bulky for the front of the car and some of the lines of the car just seem off to me as well. I do like the concept though. However, most of the cars (built at least) dont seem that much cheaper than a M3W. http://designs.trikingsportscars.co.uk/fully-built-trikingBoth the examples shown here as examples of fully built cars are equal to or over the price of a Morgan. Shame I am unable to fabricate a car as I would love to make a three wheeler to my own liking from the ground up.

What would be stopping you Fabricating, there is a lot of flat sheeting in the design and i would of thought you would be able to find a good Sheetmetal Fabricating shop that would help you!!! or would you not consider GRP.

What sort of price is a fully built Triking? Mine was just under £19K all in on the road but I had a few extra bits and pieces. The build took 14 months from placing the order. I have not tracked whether prices may have increased a bit since I made the order. Cheers Mark That's interesting, I went to see Tony Divey about 11 years ago to price one up and came to the conclusion that an OTR price would be near £21k, I guess you built yours yourself?

The Aero Cycle Cars is a nice alternative and I like the use of aluminium. However it has to be said that the M3W is the best looking but in my opinion it is too heavy, the motor is too big and the tyres are too narrow. Sorry but that is how I see it.

I have to say that Aero one looks great, and I can see that for one who lives right by the Guzzi factory that one of their engines would be locally popular. I don't know about Italy but here in France kit cars are virtually impossible to register, so an M3W is the only sensible option here.

to me the size of the Ace cyclecar, which spawned the M3W had the right engine size with the HD screaming eagle engine, its there, but not imposingly there as found with the Guzzi engines. The styling however on the Ace was in many ways overdone.
I do like the dash, the "radiator" cap and the movable windscreens on the Ace

Thank you everyone for you kind comments on my new Triking. Hi Brian - It was built by Triking with the engine and gearbox from a used Moto Guzzi California, no reverse gear and a vinyl interior. I think that a higher specification would be more expensive as highlighted by Krod. Cheers Mark
