'...not capable of covering a longer multi-day trip..' Obviously not written by a true Morganista, many owners have used their Mogs for long adventures (so too the motorcycle tourists). Some people are only happy away from home if they can take everything- including the kitchen sink!

'After a while you get the hang of it and you start to respect the capabilities of the all-British sports car'

Sounds like a back handed statement, if you ask me. Trying to suggest that because it's ALL British, that suggests it can't really compete as a sports car.
Can someone clarfy where the engine is made? I was under the impression is was not made in Britain, but I could be wrong.

'Still the Plus 8 is far from a comfortable sports car, even though it was released as the most comfortable classic Morgan the company has ever built'

My spartan 4/4 sport is one of the most comfortable 'true' sports cars I have owned on a long distance run. If the +8 tops that then what qualifications does this writer have to make such derogatory statement.

The first bit is clumsy translation I think, much like saying 'the attractive red-head' is a more evocative description rather than saying the person is attractive because they're a red-head.

The second bit is a matter of opinion but seeing as Boxsters and even Merc SLs and the like are called sports cars I think again that's a case of lost in translaton.
