for my '78 4/4 wanted. I prefer "naked frames" since my local trimmer will make them fit the present interior. "Restall" are great - or, does anybody know where I can source alternatives?
Thanking you all in advance.

Maybe not the answer you want, but Allon-White makes, trims, and fits folding/reclining seats. Ask for Sean. Very nice work.

Thank you nputtick.
I have been in touch with them. Unfortunately they cannot supply only the frame.

Have you any idea where Morgan sourced the seat frames for your model? I suppose they could have made them but it might be worth doing a bit of research. This MGB frame looks very similar to what's on my car:

I think an mgb seat is too wide for the mog. When I was trying to get some seat frames I even got intouch with Restall but they couldn't help. I gave up in the end after considering cutting and rewelding mgb frames - too complicated for me.

tmg513: I have tried to find out. Unfortunately without succeeding. I cannot open your enclosed picture.
nick w: If I could only find seats with a pipeframe I can manage to reweld it to the right size. But the newer moulded "frames" are more difficult to remake.
I was at a car scrap-yard today but all their cars was to new.
To both of you: Thank you anyway

I am pretty sure my B 4122 1978 4/4 2-seater frames are the same.
Unfortunately without the folding/reclining function that I am looking for

if you can cut piping, the seat frames from older volvos - in particular the p1800 range are (apart from width) quite similar

I'm sure that suggestion will upset owners of classic P1800s... laugh2
