Just out and about around Wendover and waved at a couple of old MG Midget TCs plus an Austin 7. All waved back.

A bit off topic, but as a youngster I used to really like it when the AA patrolman on his motorbike and side car saluted our family car.

I was driving the Minehead to Taunton road yesterday and passed a Healy 3000 and MGC, both waved first.

I'd agree with that. When I'm out on the bike (that should read was) bikers always wave to each other. Doesn't matter what the machine is- even Gold Wing riders( drivers?) do it

It's certainly still pretty widespread in South Wales, esp at the weekends
I've even seen riders wave at members of the North Wales Police Force. They use a secret druidic sign called " The Brunstrom"

innocent wink

Tried Googling that. The nearest I could get wink was "The sign of the Spider" sherlock nerd

Mmm! - interesting result sherlock As anyone who has ever ridden a bike in North Wales will know. this also happens to be the surname of the former Chief Constable who labelled a sixty year old guy with a previously clean record a 'delinquent' when he was done for doing about 38 miles an hour in a thirty limit crazy3

Cheers
