Mine work perfectly and are still in great condition. Thank you DaveW (and Mrs DW especially) 
I still think that mohair is one of the best fixes, because it's cheap, simple to make and lasts well.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Oz! At the moment I'm without mohair so until I get round to ordering some more, I'm limited as to what I can do. But at least MrsW is spared the hassle of sewing up!
