I'm living in the suburb of Vienna. I infected myself with the Morgan virus two years ago when I hired a Plus 4 during a vacation in Exeter, Devon (which was a birthday present to my wife who is infected as well). Since then we drove another Plus 4 and a Roadster in Austria (my wife drove all of them too). In total nearly 3000 km joy

Now I'm in the phase of thinking about, how to realize the dream of owning a Morgan thinking

Apart from financing such a dream blush there are questions to answer like 'What to do with the dog during a ride?' or 'How to enter the garage with a Morgan?' (there is a hump which requires a bigger modification of the driveway to be able to enter).

I really enjoy this forum (already reading for a while as a guest) and most likely will ask some more questions in the future!

Michael,

Welcome to TM, you've managed 3000km in Morgans, which I hate to ay is more than some of the TM morgan owning members manage in a year. But remind me ever to lend you a car.

Deans a nice guy, and he's also the TM finance officer, he's currently offering 0 % finance for all new members, and free loan of his aero max. spend

Welcome Michael,

Good look with your future purchase smile

If you are going to be a year round user, I guess you'll also need to include the sheepskin flying jacket, hat and goggles in the order.... to help stave off the cold on those glorious blue sky winter days in Vienna. I recall -10C to -12C was not altogether unknown snow

If you experienced such a day in Vienna you are a lucky one! In the winter period we often have high fog and sometimes there is no sun visible for weeks. But if you leave the Vienna area (which is at approx. 180 m above MSL) and get to higher areas the chances are quite good to catch some sunlight and blue sky.
In winter - even when the roads are dry (which is not very often the case) - you have dust of de-icing salt. I can imagine this might harm the car. So I'm not sure whether it is advisable to drive a Morgan in winter in Austria.
