Sorry for banging on about the new car, but it'll be good!
I have a question, which I never found out about, and I can't find it on the web. Obviously, wasn't a deal breaker!
What is the stereo in the Supersports? I know it's a Clarion and has radio, but what other features does it have? Presumably a AUX jack or USB?

It's ok. The new Plus Eight has the same system and it has what I'd like, according to Chris Harris on the PistonHeads video.

I now realise the Alpine "head unit" in my new +8 is a low-end (£99) one with CD radio and USB only. I'll be changing it for one that has bluetooth and iPhone connector. Also aerial is still as poor as on a +4 or Roadster, now I can hear the radio, its worse :-))

BHM fitted a very clever Clarion unit in my Roadster.... It pairs with my iPhone automatically and I can play music from the iPhone via Bluetooth. There's a USB port too, for charging or sticking in a memory stick - or whatever. Nice little unit.

MMC don't seem to fit a particularly good stereo as standard in their vehicles; often opting for a reasonably low spec model, or perhaps worse, some disco ball display unit. I supplied the stereo for my Aero 8 and did the same for my Max; unfortunately, the one I put in my Max is no longer available unless you are willing to pay a very high premium...  I keep hoping someone rekindles Becker and starts producing the Mexico again because it really sits well in the Aero line. Until then, I'd look for something simple that has Bluetooth and iPod connector - perhaps something like the Pioneer DEX-P99RS

I had a Mexico stolen from my car some 20 years ago. They left the leads, amplifier and short-wave adaptor in the car so the unit was probably binned!
I still have the left overs...........must flea bay them!

Only "decent" alternative to the amazing Becker Mexico I was able to find, is this one: Navi, bluetooth, DVD, CD, different aux, reasonable price as a retro design that I like (not 100% but better than the crap factory Alpine) Code: 911.645.192.00 (yes, with this code you will get the "no logo" version) Price: less than 750 gbp http://sportauto.ee/porsche/catalogues/PorscheClassicRadio1202.pdf
