Had a returned wave from a TR4 today.
But nothing from an MGB GT...

The parking guy at today's Ploughing Match was suitably impressed I'd arrived in a Morgan smile

Unfortunately, not much steam ploughing (and in the one field I missed!). I did see a ploughing engine that had been converted to diesel, couldn't see what was on the other headland (hidden by traffic).

That looks like a good event. I went to an international ploughing match at Soham a few years ago. All sorts there from horses through steam, early tractors right up the the latest kit.

Yup, it was.
Just wished I'd got there earlier.
Might join - yearly fee would cost the same as today's entry/programme, but I get an advanced parking space - doesn't reduce the walking, just places one closer to the main ring / stands, in case there's anything to purchase (bought some nice rump steak today smile ).
Really enjoyed my stroll around the fields watching the activity and viewing some lovely old machinery.

Soham? That the big one?

Cheers,

Cheers,

It was that year. Don't know if it's a regular event. Haven't seen it advertised since.

Just checked. It was the British National Ploughing Championships held at Soham in 2009. It moves around the country each year, so don't know when it'll be our way again
