On a factory visit this week I went to the spares department. I had lost the black plastic cover for the interior door lock. The spares department had the complete lock with the rubber cover but did not sell the cover on its own.

Does anyone know where I could source one from? It is such a tiny part. I believe that the lock is from the early types of land rover.

I had not been to the factory for 12 years so lots of changes. I took the 2 hour guided door which was great value for £10.00. You used to be able to wander round on your own but not any more. The museum was a wonderful addition.

Any help on the cover greatly appreciated.

If its the same as a 2010 car, I may have a pair lurking in the garage.

Melvyn Rutter from here. You'll need to ask which one (they'll know based on the year). I changed mine for chrome ones. Aus might be a long way to send the so cheaper to buy new?

I believe there the same for all years.

I assume you are talking about the little rubber/plastic push on buttons over the lock lever on the inside of the car.
I lost one of mine. I found that you can get push on rubber feet for thinks such as draining board racks from B&Q.
When push over the internal lock catch stalk they look the same a original.

Ive just checked and I do have a couple of the black plastic lock covers. You are very welcome to them if you think they will fit your car....just the price of postage.
